
Photo Exhibition
Amelia Sopta is a Canadian-Croatian artist whose work explores themes of cultural identity, familial bonds, and the human condition. She is passionate about visual storytelling and the unique ability of photography to spark connection.
Her image series, Meet in the Middle (Sresti u Sredini), documents contemporary Bosnia and Herzegovina and the ways in which it is left fragmented by its past through by examining enduring political, religious and ethnic tensions more than 30 years after the end of the Yugoslav wars.
It will be exhibited at Beaver Hall from June 3 until June 15 as a part of DOC NOW 2026.
