Pablo Rincón Diaz is a Toronto-based filmmaker and sound designer from Bogotá, Colombia, who explores narratives that emerge in between image-making and collaborative practices within a non-fiction framework as evocations of other possible worlds.
His work is characterized by integrating artistic and community-based practices to explore non-hegemonical narratives that catalyze social transformation.
In his past projects, he approached the topic of memory and representation through two main lenses: conservation of traditional knowledge and practices; and reclaiming of counter-narratives in a post-conflict context for peace-building and non-repetition of violence.
Ethics of representation and the narratives (or counter-narratives) that derive from audiovisual media have always been at the center of his work.
